Bag work in Sri Lanka part 2!

3 months ago I did a bag project at Selyn in Sri Lanka. Selyn is a weaving mill that employs more than 1000 women in Sri Lanka. We have discovered that the hand-woven fabrics lend themselves well to making underwire bags. However, this does not work at Selyn's house, because they do not have the right machines. That is why I put Selyn in touch with the local bag and shoe manufacturer Nedlanka. Now I'm going back to teach the folks at Nedlanka how to make underwire bags. Therefore, the store will be closed from June 8 to June 22.
